The Paul Johnson Foundation will uphold the cultural institution of House Music by educating, mentoring, and advocating for the success of independent recording artists and DJs, anchoring the global legacy of House Music in Chicago, the music’s birthplace, headquarters, and rightful capital city.

The foundation, housed for now, here, at getgetdown.org, will be formally launched after the close of protect, preserve, and amplify Paul Johnson’s global legacy over time for his family, biological & chosen.The foundation will structurally & fiscally support efforts to preserve archival works & tools, provide leadership development opportunities for the dance music community, and support creative industry business incubation efforts. It will also manage the initial planning & development of program offerings.

The Foundation aims to execute its mission by creating opportunities for collaboration, commerce, small business acceleration, and cultural exchange. The Foundation will achieve fiscal sustainability through programatic offerings focused on legacy preservation, succession planning, and production instruction opportunities. By continuing PJ’s life's work of creating, curating, and globalizing Chicago House Music, along with normalizing cannabis culture and equity, the Paul Johnson Foundation, a Chicago centric organization, is passionate about its mission because "it don't stop".
